Or it can take a beating and keep on walking, head held high and pride intact.The bowler came into style in the 1860’s or 70’s, and stayed in constant use well into the 1950’s, especially in the UK. There were, of course, subtle changes in style over the decades – taller, shorter, rounder, or flatter crowns, with changes to the brim shape as well.
